SEMI-SKILLED BOILER MAKING



Boilermakers weld, install, and repair boilers and vats used to store large amounts of liquid and gaseous materials. Boilermakers use welding, metal fabrication, and drafting skills to create high-pressure vessels and piping systems. Boilermakers should be able to read technical metal diagrams and blueprints. They should be able to perform highly technical duties while adhering to strict safety policies set by employers. Boilermakers should be able to work with welders, foremen, and other construction professionals to finish projects.

You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment. 

TRADE TEST


The Boiler making Trade Test Preparation course is for the boilermaker with experience that would like write his trade test. This course will ensure that you are well prepared before writing the test by practically testing all aspects of the trade, identifying the gaps and ensuring that those gaps are filled. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.

CUTTING TORCH TRAINING

The Cutting Torch course is for the new tradesman and will focus on all the fundamentals needed to work with the cutting torch. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment. 
The name originated from craftsmen who would fabricate boilers, but they may work on projects as diverse as bridges to blast furnaces to the construction of mining equipment.


PLASMA CUTTING TRAINING

The Plasma Cutting course is for the new tradesman and will focus on all the fundamentals needed to perform plasma cutting tasks. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.

GRINDING TRAINING


The Angle Grinder course is for the new tradesman and will focus on all the fundamentals needed to work with angle grinders. The operator uses this machine to grind the pieces he is working with. Grinding procedures can vary, depending on whether those pieces are for further installation or cutting tools. Grinding can be surface, internal or deep. In order to achieve the desired form and dimensions of the piece, the operator must use measuring tools, which can differ in shape and use. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.

PLASTERING

CONTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Training will take place in a Purpose built Training Facility in conditions resembling as closely as possible to those found on Site. However, to ensure that the Scaffolding Training can take place all year round, a covered area is available to allow a complete range of Scaffolds to be erected, with a few height restrictions.

The Training provided by the Training Institute is according to S.A.B.S 085 2000 Edition3, The Design, Erection, Use and Inspection of Access Scaffolding , which states that Operatives must reach prescribed levels of Training and experience in Scaffolding of a given kind before they can work without Supervision.

All Operatives shall receive a Certificate to show the levels of training they have achieved.Scaffolding,flagman, working at heights training.

Tiling

The tiling of walls and floors is a recognised trade in the construction industry using tiles made from ceramics and materials including stone, terracotta and marble all of which come in a variety of shapes, sizes, textures and colours and may be laid in intricate, decorative patterns. Tiling can be applied to both exterior and interior walls, as well as other surfaces such as floors and swimming pools. Tiling often includes maintenance and restoration work where most surfaces need to be repaired. This may involve removing existing floor or wall coverings and levelling floors. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment. 


Bricklaying



Whether you need an indoor or outdoor structure built, repaired or decorated, a bricklayer can do the job for you. Using masonry materials such as bricks, tiles, concrete, mortar, cement or granite blocks, and bricklayers can build a house, wall, chimney, arch or fireplace. Working plans are then drawn up from sketches, or architectural drafts will be used. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.  

Painting



Our college offers a variety of courses aimed at equipping the applicator with the necessary knowledge and skills of the application of the paint products.  Courses offered to contractors, supervisors, building maintenance managers, etc, are focused on increasing their general paint knowledge and to equip them with the skill of problem-solving paint problems. The painting course provides candidates with the basic knowledge regarding surface preparation and paint application to ensure engineering materials are suitably protected from environmental decay and/or corrosion, through the use of protective coatings.

Plastering

Plastering comprises the artistic and functional covering and finishing of the interior and exterior walls of building according to specifications and design. Our practical skills training facility focuses on skills development and training for unskilled labourers or labourers looking to expand their skills and knowledge base. We offer courses in the following disciplines:

Boiler making, Rigging, Pipe Fitting, Welding, Sheet Metal Work, Computers, Fire Fighting and Health and Safety.

Our courses last for 15-20 days, meaning students will not be away from work for prolonged period of time. Secondly as soon as the course is completed students are able to commence with work immediately.

Individual

Our courses cater for individuals who are looking to further their careers or perhaps specialise in a particular field of study. These fields include:

Boiler making, Rigging, Pipe Fitting, Welding, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting / Decorating, CNC Programming, Aircon & Refrigeration, Sheet Metal Work, Site Installations, AutoCad, Drawings etc.

Through our workshops students are equipped with essential skills that will help them find employment. Our workshops and study period is 3 months full time, and upon completion of the workshop students are able to commence working immediately.

Individuals become company assets and highly comparative with quality practical skills that are highly acquired after 3 months in the labour market. Our workshops teach students the value of productivity and use their strengths to build practical skills.

Once payment for your course reflects, students receive their student numbers and commencement dates.

PDR Training

Bagvin college training(BCT) is a professional PRD Training centre, specialising in Painless dent removal training, painless dent removal tool manufacturing, chasing hail damage, small dents, dings and other related services.  BCT also do have mobile unit which means BCT can even do jobs on site.

Bagvin college Institute (BCT) is a 100% back-owned institute which is established strictly to equip young and old Africans with new critical and scarce skills in order to be employable, be their own bosses and also get decent jobs in the engineering field / automotive sector.

BCT offers on site PDR Training, sells PDR Training tool manufacturing and provides paint less dent removal service nationwide.  BCT urges you and your organizations as well as further education and training institutions to work in partnership with BCT in order to take this legacy project / initiative to the next exciting level.

Enrolment Policies and Procedures

Enrolment forms must be completed and returned before course can begin. 

Full payment must be confirmed a week before course commencement – No REFUNDS

2. Enrolment Policies and Procedures 

Students are expected to attend a minimum of 70% of the classes otherwise they will be asked to repeat the course at their own cost. If the company is paying for the course, the HR Department or Manager in charge of the student will be notified accordingly.

Courses must be booked at least 1 week in advance. As soon as payment has been received the student will receive his/her student number and starting date of course.

Company

We urge companies and employees to source trained staff directly from us as we provide exceptionally skilled workers with a high quality of qualification.

Companies prefer to send unskilled staff and unemployed youths to Bagvincollege due to our renowned short courses. We have the ability to customise our courses to meet the needs and requirements of companies. The benefit of short courses is that employees do not spend prolonged periods of time away from the site.
